About us
Glengormley Ambulance & Rescue Unit was established in 1983. We provide voluntary ambulance and car services for the benefit of the community of Northern Ireland, or any other part of Ireland if required. We liaise with local statutory agencies, voluntary organisations and the public in a common effort to provide ambulance transport and ambulance aid for the protection of health and relief of sickness and distress.
This unit is run as a voluntary service and encompasses all sections of the community. As the unit is run on a voluntary basis it relies heavily on public contributions, subscriptions and such monies that are raised by members and the management.
