About us
Glengormley Ambulance & Rescue Unit was established in 1983. Our team provides voluntary ambulance and car transport to help people throughout Northern Ireland—and we're happy to extend our assistance to other parts of Ireland if called upon. We liaise with local statutory agencies, voluntary organisations and the public in a common effort to provide ambulance transport and ambulance aid for the protection of health and relief of sickness and distress.
This unit is run as a voluntary service and encompasses all sections of the community. As the unit is run on a voluntary basis it relies heavily on public contributions, subscriptions and such monies that are raised by members and the management.
